  • Second, as far as HOW I exercise in adult diapers – nothing fancy really. For running at faster paces I will either not wear a diaper if its for a short distance and just bet on not having problems or I will wear a thin diaper or a couple times I have gone with a pullup (rare). This reduces the chance of chaffing or adding too much weight or discomfort when running at faster paces. When I am cycling or weight lifting – I usually go with a thicker diaper because it serves as extra padding (cyclists know what I am talking about) for sitting on those tiny little seats. So, usually that is a Bambino, Secure X-Plus, Molicare, or Abena X-plus for those times…plus you are more likely to have an accident under low exercising conditions than high exercising conditions. For jogging or walking – I usually go with a thinner diaper like Secure Plus…I have used store brand diapers like Depends or CVS brand adult diapers in the past but have had problems with leaking so I try to avoid those if at all possible. You gotta find what works for you though.

  • Magical Crinkle: Everyone knows that sound of the diaper crinkle and many find it hard to describe why they like it so much but something about that crinkle brings calming and good memories back to many of us.

  • Diapers are a major comfort thing for me, and I am much happier when I wear and use them, but I am almost paranoid if I ever must up the courage to go outside wearing them. I have been trying for years to at least start wearing them all the time, but I always get too scarred and worried people might see and/or that it might negatively affect my social/work life (as I have a choice and am not forced to deal with it).

  • Urinary incontinence - Did You KNow?

Physiology of continence - Continence and micturition involve a balance between urethral closure and detrusor muscle activity. Urethral pressure normally exceeds bladder pressure, resulting in urine remaining in the bladder. The proximal urethra and bladder are both within the pelvis. Intraabdominal pressure increases (from coughing and sneezing) are transmitted to both urethra and bladder equally, leaving the pressure differential unchanged, resulting in continence. Normal voiding is the result of changes in both of these pressure factors:urethral pressure falls and bladder pressure rises.
